Bonnie's Story

One bear with Bonnie. One bear with us.

The story of how a little bear inspired a world of continuing journeys.

We're Kylie and Kev, Bonnie's parents. On 7 November 2022, we gave birth to our beautiful daughter, Bonnie, who had sadly died during pregnancy.

During that time, we were given two matching little bears.

One bear went with Bonnie. The other stayed with us.

Two little bears, forever connected.

As life continued, we began taking Bonnie's bear with us wherever we went. On holidays, adventures, visits to new places and moments we wished she could experience alongside us.

We started taking photographs of her bear in the places we visited, sharing those moments with Bonnie and keeping her part of our lives.

Every photograph became another memory. Every destination became another place we had taken our little girl.

And as the photographs grew, so did Bonnie's journey around the world.

Carried was born from that love.

We wanted to create a place where other families could continue sharing the world with their children, in whatever way feels meaningful to them.

A teddy bear, a keepsake, a photograph or simply a place that holds a special memory.

Because although our children may not be here to experience these moments in the way we wished, the love we carry for them continues.

One bear with Bonnie. One bear with us. And a lifetime of journeys together.

The little bear behind Carried

The white bear holding the red knitted heart is Carried's founding symbol. It represents the real bear we carry in Bonnie's memory.

Your family doesn't need the same bear, or any object at all. Your own teddy bear, a meaningful keepsake, a photograph, a symbolic object, or a location or experience that reminds you of your child can all carry that connection. The meaning comes from your family, not the object.

Every child deserves to be carried in the way their family chooses.

Carried gives families a place to preserve photographs, memories and meaningful moments, creating a growing journey for the children they will always love.
